So, why choose goat meat?
Goat meat is high protein and iron and low in fat, saturated fat and cholesterol and Kid is similar in taste and texture to spring lamb. The fat content in goat meat is actually lower than chicken and it can be cooked in many different ways.
Goat meat is widely consumed all across the world and has been breed specifically for its meat, most notably seen in the Boer breed. Boer goats are a breed from in South Africa which were brought to the UK in 1987 where they have been cross bred and their numbers have been growing ever since. Their notoriety comes from their fast growing kids, high fertility, adaptability and being resistant to disease and of course their flavour.
